Spinning honey

My friend Holly asked if I would com and help her harvest her honey yeasterday. She is amazing, and is trying to get me to get my own hive next year. Why not? This was so much fun! She ended up with over 120 lds of honey from her hive!

    That is amazing! Sounds like a lot of work, but I'm learning that a lot of the things I get most enjoyment in life from ARE a lot of work. And that's ok...actually, I think that's the way it's supposed to be. I just bought 40 lbs of honey last May and amazed at how quickly it's getting used. I'd be interested to hear how it goes if you get a hive!

    On another note...yay for harvest season! Tonight Tim & I are planning to put up a bunch of jars of peach salsa, peach BBQ sauce, and peach butter!
